STEVE MYALL - BASS GUITAR

Steve Myall worked for 26 years at the Mayfair art gallery of Arthur Ackermann Ltd., left London in 1990 to take a four year BEd Hons degree in early years teaching at Brighton, then embarked on a second career as a special needs teacher in Woodingdean for 12 years.

He has a particular interest in the history of Brighton and in 2009 published a book, now sold out, on the Victorian development of the city.

With a co-author, Steve is writing a second book on important C19th Brighton authors and print publishers. His extensive collection of Georgian and Victorian engravings of the city is being published on the website of the Regency Society later this year, where the many images will be available to other writers, researchers and historians.
Steve has been married to Anthea for 46 years, and because of the culture of a West End Gallery and a wife who sang opera, he completely missed the pop/rock music from the 60s to the 90s. He is indebted to the Leaky Buckets, not just for teaching him bass guitar, but for the introduction to such musical gems as ‘Well, Bee-bop-a Lula- she’s my Baby now’!
